Homeowners Coverage
Your house is more than four walls and a roof. It's a symbol of your security and prosperity. And, it's probably your biggest investment.
Also, inside those walls are possessions and valuables that make your house a home--and those items need protection as well. A standard homeowners policy safeguards your home and possessions against:
Sudden and accidental damage from electrical current |
Fire and lightning |
Windstorms and hail |
Explosions |
Smoke damage |
Freezing |
Theft |
Theft |
Glass breakage |
Falling objects |
Weight of ice, snow or sleet |
Accidental discharge of water or steam |
Vandalism and malicious mischief |
Also, homeowners insurance doesn't apply only to those who own a single-family house. If you own a condominium, have combination dwellings, rent an apartment or if you have a second home, you can also buy insurance specifically designed for your circumstances.
Combination Dwellings
One policy provides both property and liability coverage for dwellings not eligible for a homeowners policy. All coverage options track with the homeowners policy, making it easier to use individually or in combination with homeowners coverage.
Condominiums/Rental Properties
If you rent an apartment or own a condominium, you need insurance to protect your belongings. While your landlord or condo association might have insurance, it only protects the building. Your belongings are not covered under those policies. There are several types of residential insurance policies. The HO-4 policy is designed for renters, while the HO-6 policy is for condo owners. They both cover losses to your personal property

Additional Homeowners Insurance
Scheduled Items such as jewelry, furs, silver, collectibles and other valuables need to be insured separately (scheduled) to make sure that in the case of a loss you can recover their stated value. Your items are assessed when you begin the policy and the value obtained written into the policy.

Personal Umbrella Coverage
A personal umbrella policy, protects against a loss due to catastrophic lawsuits. It offers additional protection above and beyond your standard homeowners and auto policy limits and helps eliminate any gaps in your liability coverage.
A personal umbrella policy protects you, your spouse and all other relatives living in your household for up to $1 million. With Personal Umbrella, you are safeguarding your possessions, your savings, and your future earnings.
Personal Umbrella includes:
Protection over and above your basic liability policies for homeowners, automobile, boat owners, renters, or motor homes. |
Personal injury coverage - you will be protected if suits are brought against you for libel, slander, humiliation, false arrest, false imprisonment, defamation of character, wrongful eviction, wrongful detention, malicious prosecution or invasion of privacy. |
Any additional defense costs not covered under your other liability policies. |

Motorcycle Insurance
Like an automobile, a motorcycle is a motor vehicle designed for on road use. Consequently the policies offered are similar including required coverages to protect people and property and many specialized coverages for a variety of needs.

Boat Insurance
Boat insurance programs are normally designed to cover boats up to 26' in overall length. If the size of your vessel is greater than 26 feet, it's generally considered a "yacht", and therefore qualifies for yacht insurance.
Boat insurance provides physical damage coverage with a deductible to repair your boat if it's accidentally damaged or destroyed by a covered peril such as collision, fire, theft, windstorm, lightning or vandalism.
This coverage is broad, and provides coverage for the boat, including its machinery and auxiliary equipment, outboard motors, boat trailer and personal property.
Also available is coverage for: Personal Effects, Boat Liability, Medical Payments and Commercial Towing and Assistance.
